Upcoming Exhibition: No Bodies In Heaven
Coming next week, my debut solo show No Bodies In Heaven is opening at Community College of Rhode Island’s Flanagan Art Gallery! CCRI generously offered me a space in their Spring 2026 gallery lineup to return as an alumni and feature this series of blended textile soft sculptures and accompanying works which communicate the experience of becoming disabled in my early twenties, representing the external and internal realities of complex disabilities, and serve as companions for the past, present, and future experiences with these conditions of the brain, spinal cord, and musculoskeletal system. Runs March 4th — 27th.
Receptions: March 4th 5–8pm & March 16th 1–3pm
The Flanagan Campus Art Gallery (Directory: RM 1527, 1st Fl.) CCRI Flanagan Campus, 1762 Old Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln RI

Upcoming Event: Artist Talk at CCRI Warwick
I am in my final semester after transferring to CCRI two years ago, and I am so excited to be graduating! I’ve worked these last few months with two of my professors on an independent study project: an introduction to a series of soft-sculpture pieces which serve as personifications of nonrepresentational, ‘invisible’ concepts such as the pain and illness I have experienced since becoming (more) disabled in my early twenties, resulting in surgery on my spinal cord and my brain. They are bodies and living entities, made to be my companions in the often isolating experience of navigating chronic illness and disability. I’ll be giving an artist talk Monday, May 12th on the Knight (Warwick) CCRI campus, going more in depth about these pieces, showing behind-the-scenes process pictures and videos, and talking about other major influences to my work- neurosurgery, queer horror, radical acceptance, the Eraserhead Baby, and of course, the original Meat Creature that started it all.
Find us on the 6th floor at the CCRI Knight Campus in Warwick this upcoming Monday the 12th at 5:30pm, room 6538. Maps available upon request- please email liamkfifer@gmail.com!
